FAQ
Will they fade over time?
Yes. Because they are made of natural organic materials, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will cause them to lighten or change color over the years. This “patina” is considered part of their natural charm, not a defect.
Are they heavy to lift?

Larger woven wood shades can be heavier than fabric shades due to the density of the bamboo and reeds. For wide windows or sliding doors, we strongly recommend upgrading to automation. Visit our Motorization page to see how electric motors can do the heavy lifting for you.
Can I use them in the bathroom?
It depends on the ventilation. Natural grasses can be susceptible to mold in high-humidity environments. If you have a well-ventilated master bath, they are fine. For smaller, steamy bathrooms, we might recommend Faux Wood Blinds instead.
