Do they take up window space when raised? (The Stack)
Yes. Unlike roller shades which disappear completely, Roman shades have a “stack” of folded fabric at the top when raised (usually 6-9 inches). This adds a decorative valance look but may reduce the clear view slightly.
Can I combine these with curtains?
